High Quality Components
For High Quality End Products
ULTRENE™ DCPD:
Ultra-High Purity DCPD Products
Due to their ultra-high purity — the highest available to the industry — ULTRENE™ DCPD products provide greater value and enhanced cost performance. These products are available globally. The purity and quality of ULTRENE™ DCPD products provide enhanced properties and improved processing, including:
- Less waste in processing
- Better reactivity
- Improved physical and chemical properties of finished products
- Production of higher quality end products.
ULTRENE™ 99 DCPD
At 99+% purity, ULTRENE™ 99 DCPD is primarily for poly-DCPD formulations, norbornene-based chemicals, and cyclic olefin copolymers (COC). This highest-purity DCPD product offers superior toughness and durability, along with enhanced electrical, mechanical, and hydrolytic resistance properties.
ULTRENE™ 99-6 DCPD
A DCPD-CPD trimer product, ULTRENE™ 99-6 DCPD contains 6% cyclopentadiene (CPD) trimer. In addition to the superior toughness, durability, electrical, mechanical, and hydrolytic resistance properties obtained from ULTRENE™ 99 DCPD, the CPD trimer imparts a significant increase in the heat distortion temperature (HDT) of the cured resin with an accompanying increase in rigidity.
Co-Products
Cymetech also produces co-products from the production of ULTRENE™ DCPD. Our co-products provide value and versatility especially for production of hydrocarbon resins and hydrogenated hydrocarbon resins. These co-products are distributed worldwide.
Resin Former Prime
Resin Former Prime
This co-product is a mixture of reactive aromatic diene species from petroleum distillate with very low DCPD content. Products of this type are often referred to as C9 Resin Oil. Resin
Former Prime contains a high percentage of reactives and a very low percentage of heavies. It is typically used in production of C9 Aromatic Hydrocarbon Resins (Catalytic Resins), Thermal Hydrocarbon Resins, and Hydrogenated Hydrocarbon Resins for Inks, Paints, and Adhesives applications.
Resin Former
Resin Former
A co-product from the production of ULTRENE™ DCPD, this co-product is a mixture of reactive aromatic diene species from petroleum distillate with a higher DCPD content. Resin Former is typically used in production of C5 Thermal Hydrocarbon Resins and Hydrogenated Hydrocarbon Resins for Inks, Paints, and Adhesives applications.
Resin Oil Heavies
Resin Oil Heavies
This co-product is a mixture of DCPD, CPD trimer, and reactive aromatic species from petroleum distillate.
